PICTURES SPREAD OUT OVER MANY YEARS.

Here are some of the members preparing to go into battle during a reenactment at Endview Plantation, near Newport News, VA, in 2000.

A not-so sunny camp at New Market on Sunday. This is a view of thick cloud cover on the mountains to the east. As you could guess the rest of the event was canceled.

Battle of Chancellorsville Event at Spotsylvania, May 2-4, 2008

Take a look at Sgt Oates pearly whites!

Reports of a Brad sighting at Chancellorsville are true.

Ah yes, a tradition during events in the Spotsylvania region: Shadow looking for his tent. "I can't find my tent man!"

Here is Alvin and Nick talking strategy.

Isle of Wight Event, December 7-9, 2007
Private Dovel, new camp cook for the 53rd, preparing breakfast for the boys.

Here is a rare photo of Shadow, doing an even more rare thing: cleaning his musket.

Here is a patch used to clean Shadow's musket. Two things to note: 1. This is not
the first patch used. 2. No shooting had taken place at the event yet.
Very interesting!

Isle of Wight is a laid back event. Here are some of the boys around camp.
Second from left is Corporal Spencer, birthday boy on the 9th.

Wait a minute, that is Colonel Blevins in the ranks posing as a regular soldier! He just wanted a shot at some of those Yankee raiders. Looks like
Private Wyatt spotted him.

Santa and his elves even paid a visit to the camp.

This has nothing directly to do with the 53rd, but just thought it was a cool picture.
